Extended Access

Out of hours services provide access to healthcare when GP surgeries are closed. Most GP surgeries operate between 8am to 6:30pm, and are often closed on weekends, bank holidays and educational sessions (please check your surgery operating times as not all are the same).

You can still access a GP up to 8pm on a weekday or from 8am to 8pm at the weekend by using the extended GP access service.

Please use the right service when you are ill.  Only visit the A&E department in a critical or life threatening situation.

NHS 111

Bromley out of hours services include the NHS 111 telephone service, GP appointments at one of three GP Access Hubs, extended GP services Urgent Care Centres and in the case of severe emergency A&E departments. Find out more information here.

Extended GP Services

Bromley GPs are now providing more patient appointments in the evenings and at weekends. These extended services are available from 4pm to 8pm in the evening and 8am to 8pm at weekends at one of the three Bromley GP Alliance access hubs.

If your need is urgent and there is no appointment available in your practice, you will be offered an appointment at one of the hubs (you will still be registered with your practice).  Hubs are located in Beckenham, central Bromley and Orpington.  If you need to see a GP urgently when your practice is closed please call 111.

The hub locations are:

Please note that walk-in appointments are not offered at the five access hubs, and only patients with pre-book appointments via their GP practice or NHS 111 will be seen.
